One week down!  Even though having Nick leave the day before Fourth of July was a bit depressing, it was a bit nice to be able to spend that holiday with friends and take our minds off everything.  What would we do without friends?!  While spending the day waiting for fireworks, the big girls decorated Audrey with tons of play makeup.  She looked so pretty, even with a cupcake covered mouth.

And then proceeded to make this face and you wonder whose kid she is.

Thankfully, I'm surrounded by other Marine wives whose husbands are also deployed so there is never a shortage of who to hang out with or have dinner with.  The other night, we headed to the beach with picnic dinners and spent the evening out here.  Wore us both out!

One week down of Nick being gone and one week left of Audrey being 2.  I love that I can still say she is 2.  Sounds so little.  We have a gymnastics birthday party planned for Sunday and thankfully, Aunt Diana and Aunt Laura are coming to visit for the weekend and to help.  We are so excited!  We have pools to swim in, beaches to visit, cakes to make, maybe they should stay for an extra month?
